Why do I need a membership to shop with Guerrilla Grocers?

Guerrilla Grocers operates as a Private Membership Association (PMA). By becoming a member, you’re entering into a private covenant — not a public contract — which means we can offer you real food, real freedom, and real community outside the strings of corporate grocery chains. It’s how we protect our food, our members, and our mission.

What’s the difference between Virtual and ATX Memberships?

Virtual members get access to online content, group buys, and digital community perks. ATX members get all that plus access to local in-person groceries, events, and member-exclusive pickups at the Guerrilla Outpost in Austin.

Do I need to keep my membership active to shop or participate?

Yes. Your membership must be active and in good standing to access our store, reserve products, or participate in our group buys and events.

Can non-members browse the site?

Yes — you can look around, but only members can add items to their cart and check out. Think of it like peeking through the window before stepping inside the real party.

What kind of products do you sell?

We source and sell raw milk, grass-fed beef, lamb, fresh produce, local sourdough, goat milk products, pantry staples, personal care items, and much more — all from regenerative, small-scale producers who we trust.

What’s the best way to shop?

You can shop online anytime as a member. If you’re ATX-based, you can also come pick up your order or shop during open hours at our local Outpost.

Group Buy & Cow Share FAQs

What is a Group Buy?

A Group Buy lets members pre-order high-quality products (like half cows, lamb shares, bulk fish, etc.) at discounted rates by pooling our orders together ahead of time. It’s how we beat grocery store pricing and get access to food that big chains won’t carry.

How does the Cow Share work?

You place a refundable deposit to reserve your share. Once the butcher date is confirmed, we contact you to finalize your cuts and weight. When it's ready, you pay the remainder and pick up your share (or get it delivered if you’re local).

How do I know when the deposit window closes?

Every Cow Share product page has a countdown timer showing how long you have left to reserve your share for that cycle.
